Here’s How to Watch the Coronation of King Charles III

In just a matter of days,King Charles IIIwill officially be crowned alongside his Queen Consort, Camilla, at thecoronation ceremony.

Per the officialroyal website, the ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey in London, and it will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The official statement reads, "The Coronation will reflect the monarch’s role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry."

So far, we know that theguest listis packed with foreign leaders, charity representatives and, of course, members of the British royal family. It has also been confirmed that the king's grandson,Prince George, will play a special role during the ceremony, so we're expecting plenty of memorable moments. But how can fans tune in? What Events Will Take Place at King Charles's Coronation?

The Palace announced that Operation Golden Orb— the codename for the celebrations—will include along weekend filled with events.

May 6: Coronation Day
On Saturday, the King and the Queen Consort will travel from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey in the King's Procession. And after the service, the royal couple will be joined by other members of the royal family as they return to Buckingham Palace in a larger ceremonial procession, also known as ‘The Coronation Procession’.

May 7: Coronation Concert & Big Lunch
According to theroyal website, it will be "attended by a public audience including volunteers from The King and The Queen Consort’s many charity affiliations." The concert will also feature an orchestra, multiple famous entertainers and performers from the world of dance. Meanwhile, for the Big Lunch, neighbors and communities will gather to host street parties and luncheons together across the country.

May 8: The Big Help Out
Organized by The Together Coalition and several other partners across the U.K., the Big Help Out will "encourage people to try volunteering for themselves and join the work being undertaken to support their local areas," according to the site.

Who Is Performing at the Coronation?

Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, Andrea Bocelli, English pop group Take That, Welsh opera singer Sir Bryn Terfel, English singer Freya Ridings and British composer Alexis Ffrench will be a part of the Coronation Concert. Talk about an impressive lineup.
