New K-drama alert: Netflix has just dropped a thriller series that’s already being compared to鱿鱼的游戏.
Like the popular survival series,All of Us Are Deadfollows a group of high school students who must fight for survival. But, instead of competing in a death match for a grand prize, they must fight one terrifying foe: zombies.
Based on the popular webtoon by Dong-geun calledNow at Our School,the thriller series tells the story of students trapped in their high school building during a zombie outbreak.
As the virus sweeps across the school grounds, the classmates must band together and fight to survive before help can arrive. Can they make it through the night or will the infectious virus turn the entire student body into the walking dead?
The new show features a talented ensemble cast, including Park Solomon (Sweet Revenge), Park Ji-hoo (House of Humming), Cho Yi-hyun (Hospital Playlist)等等。
All of Us Are Deadcurrently ranks #1 in 46 countries, including韩国. But, in other countries like the United States, it holds the #2 spot on Netflix. Right now, the new series titledThe Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Windowhas occupied the #1 slot in America.
Director Lee Jae Gyu recently sat down withSoompiand shared his reaction to the global success ofAll of Us Are Dead. “I truly can’t believe all the love it has received from so many countries around the world, I’m so thankful,” he said. “I think this will come as a great relief to all the actors and staff who devoted themselves to this project for two years.”
